Silane-siloxane penetrating sealer for porous natural stone, terracotta and unglazed tiles — creates an invisible waterproof barrier within the material itself for lasting protection.
What Makes Porous
Stand Out
Silane-siloxane penetrating sealer for porous natural stone, terracotta and unglazed tiles — creates an invisible waterproof barrier within the material itself for lasting protection.
Silane-siloxane formula penetrates deep into stone pores — reacts with substrate to form a hydrophobic barrier from within.
No surface film, no colour change — the stone looks exactly the same after sealing, just permanently protected.
Penetrating sealers cannot peel or flake like surface coatings — they are part of the stone, not on top.
Water, oil and stains bead off the sealed surface — protected from penetration and permanent staining.
A single application protects for years — reducing maintenance and extending the investment life of natural stone.
Works on marble, travertine, sandstone, limestone, terracotta, slate and all porous unglazed tiles.
Microporous seal allows vapour transmission — prevents moisture trapping that can cause spalling or damage.
Apply by brush, roller or cloth — no specialist equipment. Simple one or two coat application on prepared stone.
Technologies
Silane-siloxane penetrates stone matrix — not a surface film
No change to stone appearance, texture or colour
Integrated into stone — cannot peel, flake or wear off
Years of protection from a single application
Where Porous Performs
Marble, travertine and polished limestone in homes and commercial buildings
Natural stone pool surround and coping stone protection
Outdoor paving, courtyard stone, sandstone and terracotta
Natural stone shower floors, vanity tops and bathroom walls
External stone cladding and stone facade protection
Any exterior natural stone exposed to weathering and moisture
How to Use Porous
- Clean stone thoroughly with ZeoClean Marmo (pH neutral)
- Remove all dirt, stains, oils and previous sealers
- Allow stone to dry completely — minimum 24 hours, longer in humid conditions
- Dry stone is critical — sealer applied to damp stone may appear milky
- Test water repellency on a small area — if water absorbs immediately, sealing is needed
- If water still beads, sealer may still be active — top-up rather than full re-seal
- Test on inconspicuous area before full application
- Apply Zeoseal Porous evenly with brush, roller or clean cloth
- Apply generously — ensure all pores are saturated
- Allow 10–15 minute penetration time
- Apply second coat before first coat dries — wet-on-wet application
- Wipe off any excess sealer that has not absorbed within 15–20 minutes
- Do not allow pooled sealer to dry on stone surface — causes sticky residue
- Use clean cloth to buff off excess
- Final wipe with clean cloth
- Light foot traffic after 2 hours
- Full protection at 24–48 hours
- Avoid wet exposure for minimum 24 hours after sealing
- Re-apply when water no longer beads (typically every 2–5 years)
Ideal working temperature +5°C to +35°C. Avoid direct sunlight and extreme temperatures during application.
Always ensure the substrate is clean, dry and structurally sound before application.
Lift a tile to verify adhesive coverage — minimum 65% floor, 80% exterior and wet areas.
Mix only what can be used within the pot life. Do not add water to extend working time.
Apply only to completely dry stone — moisture in stone causes cloudiness. Remove excess before it dries — sticky residue is difficult to remove. Test before full application.
