How to Use Tile
- Standard ceramic wall and floor tiles
- Small vitrified tiles up to 400×400mm
- Mosaic tiles — glass and ceramic
- Border tiles and cut tiles
- Clean, dry substrate — free from dust, grease and loose material
- Do not pre-wet — standard plaster and concrete substrates
- Prime highly porous or dusty surfaces if needed
- Ensure surface is reasonably flat
- Add powder to clean water at W/P approximately 0.28
- Mix with slow-speed stirrer to smooth, lump-free consistency
- Slake 5 minutes and re-stir
- Work within 2-hour pot life
- Apply with appropriate size notch trowel for tile format
- Set tiles with firm twisting motion
- Leave minimum 2mm joints for grouting
- Allow 24 hours before grouting
- After 24 hours, grout with C&L Lite Grout in any of 29 colours
- For wet areas, use C&L Epoxy Grout for superior performance
- Clean tile face within 30 minutes after grouting
Ideal working temperature +5°C to +35°C. Avoid direct sunlight and extreme temperatures during application.
Always ensure the substrate is clean, dry and structurally sound before application.
Lift a tile to verify adhesive coverage — minimum 65% floor, 80% exterior and wet areas.
Mix only what can be used within the pot life. Do not add water to extend working time.
Suitable for tiles up to 400×400mm. For larger format tiles, upgrade to Lite Floor or Calcibond Smart. Do not use on exterior or immersion areas.
