How to Use Tile Plus
- Ceramic wall tiles of all sizes
- Small vitrified wall tiles up to 400×600mm
- Mosaic tiles — glass and ceramic
- Subway tiles and brick format tiles
- Sound, clean wall substrate — cement plaster, concrete or masonry
- Ensure wall is flat — tile lippage from uneven wall is not covered by adhesive
- Do not pre-wet the wall
- Prime porous surfaces if high absorption expected
- Add to clean water at W/P ~0.28
- Mix to smooth creamy consistency with no lumps
- Allow 5 min slaking then re-stir
- Use within 2-hour pot life
- Apply to wall with notch trowel — 6mm for standard tiles
- Lift a tile after setting to verify 65%+ coverage
- Anti-sag formula holds tiles in position on vertical surfaces
- Work in sections — no back-buttering required for standard tiles
- 24 hours before grouting
- Use C&L Lite Grout for standard rooms — 29 colours available
- Use C&L Epoxy Grout for shower areas and wet rooms
Ideal working temperature +5°C to +35°C. Avoid direct sunlight and extreme temperatures during application.
Always ensure the substrate is clean, dry and structurally sound before application.
Lift a tile to verify adhesive coverage — minimum 65% floor, 80% exterior and wet areas.
Mix only what can be used within the pot life. Do not add water to extend working time.
For wall use — tiles up to 400×600mm. For large format wall tiles over 600mm, upgrade to Calcibond Smart or Calcibond Secure.
