How to Use Floor
- Ceramic floor tiles up to 600×600mm
- Full-body porcelain floor tiles
- Cermaic tiles
- Standard ceramic floor tiles
- Concrete or screed floor — clean, dry, flat
- Do not lay on damp or green screed
- Ensure flatness — max 5mm deviation over 2m
- Do not pre-wet the floor substrate
- Add powder to clean water at W/P ~0.30
- Mix to smooth, workable consistency with no lumps
- Slake 5 minutes and re-stir before use
- Use within 2-hour pot life
- Use notch trowel appropriate to tile size — minimum 6mm for 400mm tiles
- Spread adhesive in one direction for best coverage
- Lay tiles within extended open time — check coverage by lifting a tile
- Minimum 65% coverage on all floor tiles
- Allow 24 hours before grouting floor tiles
- Use C&L Lite Grout or C&L Epoxy Grout for wet areas
- Do not allow heavy traffic before 24 hours
Ideal working temperature +5°C to +35°C. Avoid direct sunlight and extreme temperatures during application.
Always ensure the substrate is clean, dry and structurally sound before application.
Lift a tile to verify adhesive coverage — minimum 65% floor, 80% exterior and wet areas.
Mix only what can be used within the pot life. Do not add water to extend working time.
For floor use only — not suitable as wall adhesive for large format tiles. For tiles over 600×600mm, upgrade to Calcibond Secure or Flex.
