Eco-friendly polymer latex admix for C&L Lite & Stucco grouts — significantly increases compressive & flexural strength, abrasion resistance and colour stability. Replaces water in demanding grout applications.
What Makes Grout Admix
Stand Out
A unique eco-friendly polymer latex that transforms standard cement grouts into high-performance grouting systems — simply replace mixing water with Grout Admix.
Significantly increases the compressive strength of C&L Lite and Stucco grouts beyond standard cement grout performance.
Improves flexural strength of cement-based grouts — reduces cracking and joint failure under load and minor substrate movement.
Imparts greater resistance to abrasion — ideal for high-traffic floor applications where standard grout would wear prematurely.
Provides excellent colour stability to cement-based grouts — colours remain vibrant and uniform without fading or patching over time.
Polymer modification significantly improves water and stain resistance — suitable for wet areas, bathrooms and industrial floors.
Very low VOC content — eco-friendly formulation suitable for green building certification points in all building types.
No change to grouting process — simply replace mixing water with Grout Admix at the specified ratio. No additional tools required.
Suitable for filling joints in all types of ceramic, vitrified, all types of natural stone and mosaic — joints up to 12mm and beyond.
Upgrades
Polymer latex bonding significantly raises compressive values vs water-mixed grout
Greater resistance to bending and joint cracking in demanding floor and wall applications
Hardened polymer matrix resists surface wear in high-traffic, industrial and outdoor areas
Polymer carrier locks in pigment uniformly — prevents efflorescence and uneven colour patches
Product Not to Be Used
Grout Admix is designed exclusively for use with C&L Lite and C&L Stucco cement-based grouts. For the following scenarios, use the appropriate alternative.
Where Grout Admix Performs
Grouting with Lite or Stucco grout in bathrooms, wet rooms, showers and other wet areas where improved water resistance is essential.
High compressive and abrasion strength for industrial floor tile joints in factories, warehouses and heavy-duty environments.
Enhanced weather resistance, freeze-thaw durability and colour stability for exterior terraces, facades and open-area tile joints.
Higher durability and abrasion resistance for grouting in offices, retail spaces, malls and public building floors.
Suitable for all types of ceramic, vitrified tiles, natural stone and mosaic with joints up to 12mm — and beyond when mixed with Stucco grout.
Very low VOC and eco-friendly — contributes towards green building certification credits in all residential and commercial projects.
How to Use Grout Admix
- Ensure tiles or stone are fully fixed and not sounding hollow — repair or replace any hollow areas first
- Joints must be clean and free from all foreign material: oil, grease, dust, adhesive residue
- Remove any dust or cement particles with a vacuum cleaner, blower or brush
- For highly absorbent or rustic tiles, test a small patch area first to check for discolouration
- If tiles are rustic, mask edges with masking tape before grouting to ease cleaning
- In external or hot conditions, let the surface cool before grouting — hot surfaces compromise performance
- Mix Lite Grout with 400 ml of Grout Admix per 1 kg of grout powder
- Mix Stucco Grout with 275 ml of Grout Admix per 1 kg of grout powder
- Use a slow-speed electric stirrer for mixing — manual mixing compromises performance
- Adjust quantity as per ambient temperature and dryness of surface and joints
- Final mix must be a uniform, workable paste — no lumps or dry pockets
- Do not add water to extend working time after initial mixing
- Spread the grout-admix mix evenly over the tile surface using a Wallnut rubber grout float
- Apply at 45° angle to joints — press firmly to ensure complete filling of all joints
- Ensure grout fills joints fully from top to bottom with no voids
- Remove excess from tile surface with a barely damp sponge — work diagonally to joints
- Clean tile face thoroughly before grout begins to set — avoid excess water during cleaning
- Once grout has achieved initial set, clean residual haze with a damp cloth
- Final polish with a dry clean cloth to restore tile surface shine
- Remove masking tape (if applied) after initial set — before grout fully hardens
- For stubborn haze, use Zeoclean Advance diluted in water — do not use acid-based cleaners
- Tools can be cleaned with normal water while material is still fresh
- Allow 24 hours before light foot traffic on grouted floors
- Avoid wet contact or washing for minimum 24 hours after grouting
- Full strength and performance achieved at 28 days
- For best colour stability in exterior areas, avoid direct sun exposure during application and curing
Ideal working temperature +5°C to +35°C. Avoid grouting on hot surfaces or in direct sunlight — let surfaces cool before application.
Use precise ratios — 400 ml per 1 kg for Lite Grout, 275 ml per 1 kg for Stucco Grout. Adjust slightly for ambient temperature and surface porosity.
Always use a slow-speed electric stirrer for mixing. Manual mixing compromises polymer dispersion and final grout performance.
For highly absorbent or rustic tiles and stone, always test a small patch area first. Stop and consult Wallnut if discolouration occurs.
Do not use as a standalone product. Grout Admix must always be mixed with C&L Lite or Stucco grout powder — it is not a grout by itself. Do not add extra water to the mix.
