Specially formulated thin-bed adhesive for AAC blocks — replaces thick traditional mortar with a precise 3–5mm joint for faster, more accurate and stronger block laying.
What Makes Block
Stand Out
Specially formulated thin-bed adhesive for AAC blocks — replaces thick traditional mortar with a precise 3–5mm joint for faster, more accurate and stronger block laying.
Specifically engineered for Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (AAC/Aerocon) blocks — the most widely used wall material in modern India.
Replaces traditional 10–15mm mortar bed with a precise 3–5mm joint — less material, faster laying, more accurate work.
Thin bed allows precise horizontal alignment — achieves plumb and flat walls faster than traditional mortar.
Despite thin application, achieves superior bond strength to AAC block vs traditional OPC sand mortar.
3–5mm joints set faster than thick mortar beds — allows more courses per day.
Less material per m² than traditional mortar — reduces cost, waste and structural dead load.
Formulated to match the porosity of AAC blocks — maximum bond to this challenging material.
Compatible with all major AAC block brands — Aerocon, Siporex, Birla, Magicrete and others.

How to Use Block
- AAC blocks must be clean and free from dust
- Ensure blocks are not saturated — surface should be dry or slightly damp
- Remove any efflorescence or contamination from block surfaces
- First course: lay on cured RCC with normal mortar bed
- Add Lite Block to clean water at W/P ratio ~0.30–0.35
- Mix with slow-speed stirrer to smooth, spreadable consistency
- No slaking required — apply within 2-hour pot life
- Do not add excess water — correct mix should not slump
- Apply thin bed of 3–5mm to both bed face and perpend (vertical) joint
- Apply with notched trowel or serrated spreader
- Ensure full coverage across both surfaces
- Do not apply too thick — excess squeeze-out indicates too thick application
- Set block firmly with rubber mallet to correct level
- Check level and plumb after each block
- Joints must be completely filled — no voids
- Remove excess squeeze-out before it sets
- Light vertical loading after 4 hours
- Plastering can commence after 24 hours minimum
- Tiling over AAC: prime surface first then use appropriate Calcibond adhesive
- Do not wet or wash walls for minimum 12 hours
Ideal working temperature +5°C to +35°C. Avoid direct sunlight and extreme temperatures during application.
Always ensure the substrate is clean, dry and structurally sound before application.
Lift a tile to verify adhesive coverage — minimum 65% floor, 80% exterior and wet areas.
Mix only what can be used within the pot life. Do not add water to extend working time.
For AAC blocks only — not suitable for traditional brick or block with standard mortar joints. Maintain 3–5mm joint thickness — too thick reduces the benefit of thin-bed system.
